Welcome to Bloomingdale Barracudas

Michael Manalansan returns as head coach of the Barracudas with extensive coaching experience and has worked with swimmers of all ages, skill levels, and abilities, from swim lessons to elite-level high school athletes. In his time with the Barracudas, he has helped lead the team to an undefeated dual meet record, a second-place finish at the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference Meet, and over a dozen team records. Outside of coaching the Barracudas, he is also the head coach of the boys and girls swim teams at Bartlett High School.

I have extensive experience in both competitive and recreational springboard diving.  I have been the Bartlett Park District diving coach since 2010.  I have been the springboard diving coach for South Elgin High School, for both girls and boys, since 2014.  I’m also a voluntary diving coach for Lake Park High School, Addison Trails / Willowbrook High School and Wheaton Co-op High School.  My philosophy is to take the time to work with each student, to help them be the best diver they can be.
